About Your Project:
The Prior Lake Police Department in Minnesota is looking to create a new badge design that encapsulates and represents elements from its vibrant community. They envision an oval-shaped badge, approximately 3.25 to 3.5 inches tall, with different finishes to signify various ranks.
This badge project is more than just a redesign from a previous supplier; it is an opportunity to establish a custom brand for the department. The goal is to craft a badge that will not only serve as a symbol of authority and service but also stand as an enduring emblem of the department's identity for decades to come.

A Note from the designer:
"Dear Prior Lake Police Department,
As your badge designer, I wanted to share the story behind your new badge. Each element was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the past, present, and future of Prior Lake.
The three raised stars honor the three farms that formed the Village of Prior Lake in 1891. At the center, the detailed sailboat represents your community's love for water recreation and pays tribute to "The Lulu," a historic local sailboat.
On the left, the train symbolizes C.H. Prior and the arrival of the first railroad tracks, marking a significant moment in your history. To the right, the bridge near the Marina with City Hall behind it represents the heart of your city and its bright future.
Finally, Prior Lake itself is prominently featured with gentle waves and ripples, showcasing its central role in your community.
